Fostering Antiracism in the Classroom
The 2021 Plater Institute on the Future of Learning was held virtually on Friday, April 9, from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
In fall 2020, IUPUI Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion promoted campus-wide reading groups to discuss Ibram X. Kendi’s How to be an Antiracist. Building on this momentum and institutional priority, this year’s Plater Institute aims to create conversations around fostering antiracism in the classroom and provide instructors with strategies to implement antiracist pedagogies in various learning environments.
